I have been a student of Michelle Uy’s for the past 3 years.  I have seen Michelle grow from strength to strength.  As time has gone by I have seen Michelle enhance her great technique with a developed compassion for the Yoga stage that her individual students are at.  Her classes are now, instead of being about a concept called ‘Yoga’ are now about her students. It was a beautiful thing to observe the transformation. The class loves Michelle very much.

I first met Michelle participating in the Eat Well Feel Well program that she and Joy McCarthy created together in the Spring of 2010.  Michelle has a natural ability to assess the needs of her students and teach classes that combine relaxation with strengthening and balance. Her style is to increase awareness within her students and to listen to their bodies as they move through positions.  She combines Vinyasa flow with restorative poses to ensure her students walk away with a sense of being – refreshed and calm.  Michelle is one of the best yoga instructors that I’ve had and I make sure to get to her weekly classes that she offers!

Michelle has a wonderful way of putting everyone at ease in the class.  She explains and demonstrates in a clear and concise manner.  She takes the time to help you if you are having difficulty with a pose.  A GREAT teacher who cares about her students!
