Join Joy and Michelle at the Bahia De La Luna in SouthWest Mexico on the beautiful, and breathtaking Pacific coast. The sun, ocean, yoga and empowering wellness talks are sure to light the fire of transformation under your feet and infuse your life with delicious knowledge. 


What to expect: Each day you will awake to the sound of the ocean serenading you as enjoy a short walk through the jungle to the yoga palapa nestled within nature and surrounded by life, such as birds and trees. In this yoga palapa (large grass hut), your day will begin with an energizing yoga class led by Michelle.

Following your yoga practice, you may enjoy a continental breakfast with the sand at your feet, including local mouth-watering fruit, juice, toast, cereal and coffee or tea. Hot options available.

Enjoy the day as you please by choosing from a variety of options including: soaking up the sunshine vitamin, hiking in the jungle, kayaking, swimming, socializing, meditating, whale watching, listening to some good tunes as you laze on the beach in a hammock and let’s not forget enjoy delicious local Mexican food! (The guacamole with tortillas, and tomato, Oaxaca cheese salad are to die for!). Day trips are available into the neighbouring surfer towns brimming with authentic Mexican culture by road taxi or water taxi.

Later on that day, Joy will infuse your brain with delicious knowledge to live a more joyous and healthier life. Topics include: natural body care, detoxifying foods, lifestyle detox 101, stress reduction techniques including a meditation and much more. (See schedule below)




About the accommodation: The Bahia de la Luna Resort is nestled between mountains on a private beach on the Pacific Ocean.  This is an eco-friendly, rustic-chic resort complete with authentic Mexican grass huts.  The only sound you will hear at night is the ocean waves crashing against the rocks. There are tranquility nets available to put over your bed, if you so desire for a more peaceful sleep. Be prepared to sleep like a baby as the waves serenade you into a deep state of restfulness and regeneration.

MEALS:Michelle and Joy are both foodies and can speak from experience that the local chef makes magic in the kitchen! All meals are prepared using the finest local ingredients including fish and seafood, fresh ripe produce and there are always vegan and vegetarian options. You can expect to pay around $250-$350 for the week of meals.

FLIGHTS: Direct Charter flights are available with SunWing on Tuesdays. (Prices range from $500-$1000 CAD.) Alternatively, you can fly via the U.S. or Mexico City. Please note that charter flights are usually non-refundable. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.


Joy and Michelle have been running the Eat Well Feel Well Program since 2010 to men and women of all ages.  This dynamic duo are passionate about nutrition and yoga and want nothing more than to share their love with you!

Joy McCarthy is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist & Health Coach. She has been inspiring and empowering people to make healthier foods choices with her writing for That’s Fit, MTV Canada, Naturally Savvy plus more, speaking to corporations on healthy eating and one-on-one consultations with clients from around the entire globe. She has a knack for taking complicated nutrition information and delivering it in a fun and easy going style that you will enjoy, have fun with and learn from.


Michelle Uy is a Certified Yoga Teacher and has been teaching yoga since 2007.  Some of the organizations that she has worked with past and present are: 889 Yonge, YogaSpace, Seneca College, Sick Kids Hospital and De La Salle Private School.   She is Co-Creator of the Eat Well Feel Well Program and will be co-leading the first Eat Well Feel Well Retreat to Mexico in March, 2012!  She has also completed her 50-hour yin certification and is certified to teach Yoga Thrive, a yoga program specifically designed for cancer survivors.  Her classes are infused with inspiration and insight, giving students space and to connect within.
